Project, Contract and Procurement Management FIDIC
The project includes both civil works and system related services. When completed, the metro Line 2 will be 11.1 km long with 11 stations and 1 depot; 9.3 km of the line will be underground and 1.8 km will be on an elevated track. Line 2 will be part of a new metro network in Ho Chi Minh City, and significantly improve mobility for the 7 million inhabitants. The line makes a major contribution to the sustainability of Ho Chi Minh City’s public transport; increasing safety and reducing pollution.
Project technical services started in February 2009; and the duration of the design & tender documentation phase will be 18 months, and the site supervision phase will last an additional 5 years.

Challenges
Extensive resettlement measures and the securing of site development / access led to an enormous amount of preparation work, which could only be mastered with excellent cooperation between the engineering team and the client so that they could work hand in hand.
My role/position in the project
Senior Project and Contract Manager Engineering Consortium, responsible for:
- Project Management and team lead of 5 experienced engineers
- Quality/Time/Cost management
- Procurement preparation and contract management
- Contact person for the Client and all other share/stakeholders
