The workshop “FIDIC Claim Management” is exactly tailored to your daily international project business. The basic part of the workshop enables you to understand Claim Management even better on the basis of practical examples, to put it into context and to apply it convincingly. The second part is dedicated to real examples from various international projects, demonstrating different claim approaches and how they can be successfully implemented.

Within the scope of group exercises, you will develop and discuss solutions for claim settings and claim defence matters, as they occur in your daily project routine and learn how to deal with them better and therefore more efficiently.


Content

In this workshop you will learn to understand Claim Management as a component of Project Management. You will learn which strategies you can use to assert your claims more successfully or to defend against unauthorized claims more effectively. After the workshop, you will be able to introduce claim strategies for your company or optimize the existing Claim Management procedures.

This workshop is aimed to everyone who sets or defends Claims: Project Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers, Key Account Managers, Specialists and Executives from the areas of execution, sales and purchasing. At the workshop you will benefit not only from the input of an experienced Contract/ Claim Manager but also from the experience of the other participants and thus expand your professional network.


About the speaker

For more than 25 years Michael Becker has been confronted with Claims in the national and international construction business and in many different kind of projects. He and his team have successfully fended off a mega claim less than 85% of the claim amount originally submitted to the customer from an international consortium of contractors at “Gotthard Base Tunnel” project.

Registration

The closing date for registration is 4 September 2020 for the German workshop and 11 September 2020 for the English workshop. After registration you will receive an invoice for the cost to be paid.

Remarks

The number of participants is limited. Registration will be taken into account upon receipt, therefore, an early registration is recommended.

The workshop will be held from 8 registrations. In order to guarantee individual coaching, a maximum of 12 persons can participate.

If you wish, we can reserve a hotel room with breakfast at the Hotel St. Josef (3 minutes walk from Zurich Main Station) for 200.- CHF per person incl. VAT.

Your registration is binding. Cancellations, which must be made in writing in any case, can be cancelled free of charge up to 5 days before the workshop. In case of later cancellations or unexcused absence, 350.- CHF will be charged as compensation.
